Dean T. Bennett, Esq.
A native of Belleville, New Jersey, Dean Bennett has been engaged in civil practice in New Jersey and New York since 1987. Mr. Bennett graduated from the University of Chicago in 1983. He earned his J.D. in 1987 from the New York Law School, where he served as editor for the New York Law School Human Rights Annual.
Mr. Bennett devotes his practice primarily to representing individuals and small businesses in a variety of legal matters including civil litigation, family law, criminal defense, real estate and other transactions. He appears in federal, state and municipal courts throughout New Jersey and downstate New York.
A pioneer in the growing field of collaborative law practice, Mr. Bennett is a founding member of the New Jersey Collaborative Divorce Alliance NJCDA.ORG and a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. He is a qualified mediator in family and civil matters, and an active member of the New Jersey State, Essex County and American Bar Associations. He has served with distinction as a public defender for the City of Summit Bar Foundation from 1995-2004. Mr. Bennett resides with his family in Millburn, New Jersey.
